DoW HBCU/MI Summer Research Internship Program

The Department of War (DoW) HBCU/MI Summer Research Internship Program provides students and recent graduates from STEM and DoW-relevant disciplines with immersive, hands-on research experiences at DoW facilities nationwide. By bridging academic learning with practical application, the program builds a pipeline of scientists and engineers prepared to contribute to the Department’s mission. Participants work directly with DoW professionals on projects at the forefront of innovation, gaining both technical skills and professional insights that enhance their educational and career trajectories.

Beyond laboratory research, the program offers structured opportunities for participants to present their findings at symposiums attended by DoW scientists and engineers. These forums not only showcase participant contributions but also strengthen the Department’s scientific enterprise by engaging future STEM leaders.
